Spankin' Off Broadway Photos and Reviews

"What? And Give Up Show Biz?" A musical revue of the ups and (mostly) downs of our fourteen year history, just closed its two week run in New York. We had a ball and learned a lot. We hope to evolve the show een more and bring it to a theater near you. While you wait in breathless anticipation, check out the (mostly) great reviews from Variety , The Hollywood Reporter, The Village Voice and The New York Times and view some great photos.

Mommy Says No! takes home Awards!

The end of any year marks the beginning of awards season. Our latest album has garnered some very nice kudos:

The Children's Music Web Awards, which are voted on by actual children (!) has named "You Only Love Me for My Lunchbox" as Best Song of the Year. That's quite an honor.

The National Parenting Publications Awards gave the album its Gold Award in music. Yeah!

The 2007 Fids and Kamily Poll saw us place at #2 for Best Kids Album of the year. Not bad, eh?

A Cool Cover

A Spanish band called Wait, A Great Toad has recorded a cover of "Monkey Rag". Check it out:

If you know of any other covers of Spankers' songs out in the world, please e-mail us an mp3.

Europe Photos

We had a great time running back and forth across Europe between Poland and France. Vicariously experience our triumphant tour though these official photos from Rawa Blues Fest in Katowice, Poland and more from Rawa by Ryszard Kocaj and these from Belgium by Kris Rogiers.

New Website, Lower Prices

At long last we've got a new website! We're still tweakin' it, but for the most part, all the elements are complete. The biggest changes are lower prices on CDs and DVDs and the ability to stream evey song on every album on your browser.

"Stick Magnetic Ribbons on Your SUV" Video

We recently shot a video in Los Angeles with director Morgan Higby Night. It's a great piece of work and available for viewing at YouTube. While we think the video and song speak for themselves, the Spankers preemptively state that current and former members of our band are veterans of the military, we support American troops and we love our country, especially its Constitution and Bill of Rights, but also its movies, music, whiskey and regional cuisine. Now go watch it, pass it on to your political enemies and leave a scathing comment.
